at PLEASANT HILL PARK, 147 Gregory Lane (at Cleaveland Rd), Pleasant Hill. Dinner at 6:30PM
In a revival of a tradition Treadles had many years ago, we thought this would be a good year to bring back our annual June Picnic. Your whole family is invited. We have Picnic Area # 2 reserved--which is why we have it from 4 to 9PM. Come early if you can with your wheel, or bring the kids or grandkids and they can play on the playground equipment.
There are bar-b-que pits there if you want to bring your own charcoal and grill something for yourself. Other wise, just bring some food to share for a dinner-in-the-park, this is a pot luck affair. Bring your own dinnerware, cups and utensils to save on paper plates. Sodas, water and other drinks will be available courtesy of the Guild.
Picnic Area #2 is between the Senior Center and the Playground and there will be signs saying it is reserved for Treadles to Threads. There is limited street parking along Gregory close to the picnic area, otherwise, there is a parking lot on the corner. This is a popular park with active baseball leagues, come early if you can. There are trees and shade!
DYE DAY IN JULY
DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED
The gals who work with natural dyes will probably not be able to lead or help with our Dye Day this year. If you have any bright ideas of what you would like us to focus on for that day, please contact Linnie and talk to her about it. Pretty much anything goes, as long as there is enough time to prepare for it.
SPINNING AT THE WINERY
All went well and we had our best attendance to date - about 136 paid guests. The drawings were quite popular again and made a tidy sum for the Guild's treasury. A big THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the prizes.
Part of the crowd on the lovely grounds of the Winery
Anne, Donna and Carol enjoying the day once the sun came out. It was so cold in the morning!
Did you snag some of this beautiful combed top?
Lots of other stuff too, like the gorgeous mohair goat fleece draped here.
Will, busy giving directions, as usual.
