TREADLES TO THREADS ’05-‘06 CALENDAR

Our focus for this year’s programs will be “BLENDING”. Each member is asked to participate in as many months as they can by preparing “blends”, as in fibers, colors, singles into plies [both by fiber or color], whatever you can think of. According to the “color” for the month, or any of it hues and shades, bring a sample of a hand or machine carded batt, spun skeins, finished items, etc. Other colors can certainly be mixed into the target color of the month. Lots of participation should make this project a lot of fun. (Names in parentheses are “in charge” of the meeting that month.)

Ranch Days at John Muir House, Saturday, September 24
Once again Treadles To Threads participated in Ranch Days at the John Muir House. As we only had a few people sign up, we planned to demonstrate only - no hands-on with kids. That was a good plan, as this year we were in the newly painted east parlor, and there was no extra room. It was busy all day long, and people enjoyed watching the spinning demonstrations. Members who participated were Carolyn Blumert, Pam Murdock, Muriel Nesbitt, Janet Russell, and Nancy Van Tassel.

CNCH News:
The second meeting for CNCH 07 will be Saturday, October 8, 10AM, at Susie Hodges' home in Berkeley. Please email Kristin at design@kristingoedert.com or Susie at SASHodges@aol.com if you are interested in attending and need the address.

Each guild has been asked to provide any suggestions that they might have for Speakers, Conference Theme & Logo, etc. CNCH would like if the speaker suggestions were collected on 3x5 cards, so Kristin will bring the cards if you bring the ideas! Include as many details, names, addresses, desired subjects, etc. as possible.
