OUR NEXT MEETING
September 26th at 7:30 PM
at the Winslow Center.

PROGRAM: "Mini Workshop on Drafting" with Susie Hodges
Susie will cover the uses and wheel adjustments for three drafting
methods. Bring your wheel and appropriate fiber. The "Short Draw" can be used with any fiber preparation. The "Long Draw" works well with medium length wool in a woolen preparation like sliver or rolags. "Double Drafting" is used for short fibers like cotton and downs. Susie will bring cotton roving for those who wish to try this more advanced method.

THANKS to everyone who came to the August meeting and helped to set up ideas for the coming year. Lots of interesting and fun suggestions will now try to be finalized and scheduled in. Much more on that later. Remember, if you come accross a good speaker, or hear talk of one, bring it up at one of the meetings. Keep thinking about what you would like to see demonstrated or talked about at one of our meetings.

INTERESTING THINGS ON THE INTERNET

MINI SHEEP - Too cute - Almost a necessity for our backyards!

Ravelry A fabulous social Knitworking site! Go to the site and put your email address in for your invite. There is a wait, but it's well worth it.

GOING GREEN Remember to bring your own coffee/tea/drink cup to each meeting. In our own tiny way, we want to help the environment and not contribute more of those styrofoam cups to the landfills.

Hope to see everyone at the meeting!
