NEXT MEETING: JULY 11, 2009
ANNUAL DYE DAY, 10 AM
Once again being held in Linnie's backyard. If you need directions, please contact Pam through the Monday Spinning announcement she sends out weekly.
We will be dying wool yarn with natural dyes in pure form, mixing natural dyes to obtain different colors, and over-dying in indigo to get even more colors. Bring your skeins already wound and mordanted. We will not have a pot to mordant in at Dye Day. You can also experiment with dying wool roving if you don't have any yarns.
If you don't want to experiment on your handspun, its perfectly o.k. to use purchased wool yarn!
Once again, download the attachment that Wendy put together for preparations for Dye Day that came with the announcement email I send to alert you that this blog is up for the month. If you have difficulty downloading, Pam will have copies with her at Monday spinning.
Have fun getting ready! See you all on the 11th. Bring a lunch and a lawn chair, if you have one, along with your wool.
