Monday, August 6

Happy Summer everyone, although it is quickly coming to a close. This newsletter is a little early, but I'm gone for the rest of the month--so put this notice where you'll remember it!

OUR NEXT MEETING is August 29 at 7:30 PM at the Winslow Center.
This is our planning meeting for the coming year and though it may sound boring, rest assured it's NOT! We need all the input we can get to decide on another inspiring year of programs. Conference will be coming up in May of '08 and there are Guild and Individual participation events that will need planning. Are there any programs or speakers that you've heard of that would be great for one of our meetings? Is there some kind of particular technique regarding any kind of fiber work that you want to learn more about? Is there something that you would like to show or talk to the guild about? This is the meeting to get things on the schedule for the year.

DYE DAYS
The first dye day in July was so great, Linnie was kind enough to invite everyone back for a second one the following Saturday. Plan to bring the scarves that you created for Show & Tell at the next meeting. They were so much fun and so wonderfully creative. Will took a few photos, he'll have to bring those too. Thank you once again Linnie for the use of your home and yard, and to Linnie and Pam both for preparing the dyes we so happily used.

GOING GREEN
Remember that in our tiny little way, we want to help our environment. Everyone should remeber to bring their own coffee/tea/drink cup to each meeting. No need to keep using and sending to the landfill those styrofoam cups.

DUES ARE DUE
Pam will begin collecting yearly dues for the Guild in August. If you're like me, don't carry checks and never have enough cash when needed, she'll take an IOU. [Just kidding] We don't take plastic. I would tell you how much they are, but I've quite forgotten! I think $35 or $40.

See you all at the meeting!
